I understand that, while there is certainly a descrete SW channel in SACD material, there is no guarentee that the material sent to the other 5 channels is in no need of crossing over to a sub. More to the point, "do I need to buy an Outlaw ICBM". My question relates to the capability of the DV8300 itself and the potential requirement for external processing. So the way I understand it, all such proccesing for SACD analog playback through the 6-ch descrete outputs of my player must be accomplishe in the analog domain. I understand that, due to copywrite or other legal issues, it is not possible to deliver SACD material in digital form, hence the lack SACD digital out capability, and the lack of speaker setup options (in the player) normally found in HT receivers that accomplish this in the digital domain.
Specifically, I desire to cross over all my L, C, R, SR, RL speakers to 80 Hz and utilize the SW out - just as I do in the Dolby Digital domain on my receiver. I have a question about 6-ch discrete (SACD playback) analog outputs on my Marantz DV8300.
